Christian Education
The Christian Education Department encompasses many facets of our ministry here at Harrison Community Baptist Church.
Our Sunday school program offers weekly biblical teaching to all age groups. Also available on Sundays are volunteer nursery workers for preschool children and children's messages three weeks each month during the morning service. Through out the week we offer an assortment of adult bible
studies.
Wayne Eve of South Lake Youth Ministries (SLYM) has been co-leading our weekly teen program along with several adults from our church body. It is a great outreach to community youth as well as our own youth, offering dinner, worship, games and sound biblical teaching.

Another area of our outreach ministry is our children's programming, HIS KIDS. The team meets at the school on Wednesdays during the school year, providing after school activities for elementary students. We also provide a community Vacation Bible School each summer.

We have a church library with a large selection of fiction and non-fiction books and videos for all ages and interests. It’s always growing with new additions.
Fellowship & Outreach
Fellowship and Outreach promotes the building of relationships between the Church, the community and God through planned social events.
Throughout the year we have different events to promote fellowship within our church body. Chicken Foot Tournament, Annual Bicycle Ride, and Progressive Dinners are a few activities the church family participates in and has a lot of fun.

As an outreach to the community, we have our annual Easter breakfast which is prepared by the men of the church before the Worship Service. We also give Easter Lilies to the business in the community to show our appreciation for what they do through out the year.
The second Sunday of each month is a potluck after the Sunday worship service. Everyone is encouraged to come. This is a good time for the Church family and visitors to come together.
Missions and Ministry Committee
Our committee is composed of 5 adults and one teen member who meet regularly to assess mission needs and projects and make mission recommendations to our leadership committee and the congregation. We keep everyone informed of mission activities and lead in organizing projects.
Our church is a mission-minded church. We give regularly (monthly) to the Cooperative Program and Inland Empire Baptist Association. We also participate in Southern Baptist Convention's three main offerings and weeks of prayer for International Missions (Lottie Moon Christmas Offering), North American Missions (Annie Armstrong Easter Offering) and State Missions (Sylvia Wilson Northwest Baptist Offering). In addition, we support five missionary families who are not connected to SBC including Faith Christian Missions, Hard Hats for Christ, SEND International and Campus Crusade for Christ. The families represented here are serving in both foreign and homeland ministries. We participate in Franklin Graham's Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Project. We also have sent teams of adults and teens to areas within our country and overseas to engage in evangelistic and construction work.
Our women are involved in missions through the Ladies' Visionary Missionary Society which meets once a month and is the equivalent of the Southern Baptist WMU. In addition to providing financial support to missionaries, LVMS also donates dollars for special mission projects, gifts for high school graduates, gather school supplies for the schools, food bank, and The Christmas Child project, and layettes for new mothers. The ladies also do hands-on projects such as recovering bed pads for Hospice and conducting funeral dinners.
Worship
Our worship team's goal is to consistently facilitate the congregation in feeling God's presence through music, scripture readings and special music. The goal of the worship committee continues to be making the worship experience meaningful and bringing worshipers into a closer, personal encounter with our Lord.
We plan and oversee weekly and monthly services, services at special times of the year and holidays, special musicians and much more. We try to strike a balance of contemporary music with favorite hymns to help bridge our older and younger generations.
